Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is an acute care hospital that is focused to provide quality clinical outcomes, with experienced physicians, advanced technology, and a patient-centered approach to care in southern Virginia Beach, as well as neighboring Chesapeake and Northeastern North Carolina communities.

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital Auxiliary is proud of our hospital’s growing renown for enhancing patient care and confidence.  We are focused on assisting our award-winning hospital in a variety of ways. Our support of the hospital and staff is a key component in ensuring outstanding care for all patients.  The Auxiliary is dedicated to promoting and advancing the healthcare of our community.
 

The Auxiliary is a member-based volunteer organization, which means we are all community members who enjoy working in support of Sentara Princess Anne Hospital and its community.  We provide that staff and community support in various ways by:

​

  • Offering our Free Mammogram Program for uninsured patients

  • Providing a Unique Boutique that offers free scarves, hats and wigs for oncology patients

  • Operating the SPAH Auxiliary Gift Shop to serve the needs of our staff, patients, and visitors, as well as to raise funds to support our programs

  • Awarding annual scholarships to SPAH staff members and Virginia Beach graduating high school students

  • Supporting a clothing closet for patients in need   

  • Making and donating baby hats for all the newborns delivered in our hospital

  • When fundraising and Gift Shop proceeds permit, donating to local charities that benefit our community.
