In 2012, the Sentara Princess Anne Hospital Auxiliary embarked on a program to assist uninsured and under-insured men and women in Virginia Beach secure a mammogram free of charge to the patient.  This program has become known in the community as The SPAH Auxiliary Free Mammogram Program (FMP). The FMP has grown from a handful of procedures paid for in the first year to well over 100 per year after 7 years.

The FMP is funded by the Sentara Princess Anne Hospital Golf Tournament which is held in October of each year.  The funds from this tournament are the sole source of revenue for sustaining the FMP.  It is through the tremendous support from the local community that the SPAH Auxiliary is able to continue this much needed program.
